Prime by Cardiff is a finely brushed yarn. The cashmere fibers give it softness and a beautiful "halo". The silk core gives the yarn a noble sheen and holds the brushed cashmere fibers together. It has the usual lace weight of brushed companion yarns and can therefore easily replace a mohair companion yarn. However, it also looks great knitted solo and creates uniquely luxurious knits.
